# Introducing Vercel Drop

By Steven Van · 2026-06-12

Drag a file, folder, or .zip onto vercel.com/drop to deploy to production with no Git or CLI setup.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) now lets you deploy a site by dragging a file, folder, or .zip into your browser, with no Git, CLI, or local setup required. Go to **vercel.com/drop**, drop your project, choose a team and project name, and select Deploy. Vercel creates a new project, uploads the files, and publishes them straight to production with a shareable URL.

- Framework projects are detected and built automatically, for example Next.js exports from tools like Bolt.new.

- Static sites with no framework, including exports from Claude Design and Google Stitch, deploy as-is with no build step.

- If a folder has no index.html at the top level, you're asked to pick which page loads at the site's root, or to have no root page at all.

Each drop creates a new project rather than redeploying an existing one. To get automatic deployments on every push, a Git repository can be connected to the project afterwards. Full details are in the [documentation](<https://vercel.com/docs/drop>).
