# Introducing the Dubai Vercel region (dxb1)

By Steven Van · 2025-06-16

The new dxb1 region cuts latency for users in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia and can run Vercel Functions with Fluid compute.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) has added Dubai (**dxb1**) to its global delivery network, giving users across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia a closer point of presence for cached content and compute, with no configuration changes required. The [new region](<https://vercel.com/docs/edge-network/regions>) is generally available and already serving billions of requests, acting as the first stop for nearby end-users based on proximity and network conditions.

Teams can also configure Dubai as an execution region for Vercel Functions, where it supports Fluid compute to improve resource and cost efficiency, reduce cold starts, and scale dynamically with demand. Dubai has its own regional pricing.
