# Introducing Platform Elements

By Steven Van · 2025-12-05

The library adds five UI blocks and two server actions for domain, deployment, and account management on Vercel for Platforms.

Vercel launched **Platform Elements**, a library of prebuilt shadcn/ui components and server actions for [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s new Vercel for Platforms product, so platforms can add domain management, deployment, and account features to their own apps without building them from scratch.

The library ships in two parts:

- **Blocks:** custom-domain (domain configuration with DNS validation and real-time verification), deploy-popover (deployment interface with status and history), dns-table (DNS records in a copyable format), claim-deployment (ownership verification flow), and report-abuse (abuse reporting form)

- **Actions:** add-custom-domain (add and verify domains programmatically) and deploy-files (deploy files to any project)

Components install through the Vercel Platforms CLI (for example *npx @vercel/platforms add claim-deployment*) or the shadcn CLI. The [add-custom-domain action](<https://vercel.com/platforms/docs/platform-elements/actions/add-custom-domain>) is a server-side utility that adds custom domains to Vercel projects and checks their configuration status on behalf of platform users.
