# Improvements to Vercel Firewall system bypass rules

By Steven Van · 2025-02-28

Pro teams can now set 25 system bypass rules and Enterprise 100, with support extended to preview domains and all project domains.

Pro and Enterprise teams can now set more [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) Firewall system bypass rules, and apply them to more domains. The limit rises to **25** on Pro and **100** on Enterprise, up from 3 and 5. The [Vercel Firewall](<https://vercel.com/docs/security/vercel-firewall>) uses these rules to skip system mitigations, including DDoS protection, for specific IPs and CIDR ranges.

Vercel still strongly recommends against disabling protections. It says customers who run a proxy in front of Vercel may see traffic issues that bypass rules can fix.

- Bypass rules now work on preview domains, not only production domains.

- Single-domain rules are supported for preview deployment URLs and aliases.

- Project-scoped bypass rules now cover all domains connected to a project.
