# Filter runtime logs for fatal function errors

By Steven Van · 2025-06-10

Vercel's runtime logs add a Fatal level filter that flags crashed function invocations as "Invocation Failed".

Runtime logs on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) can now be filtered to show fatal function errors, such as Node.js crashes, using the new Fatal option in the levels filter. When a log entry is a fatal error, the invocation details panel shows **Invocation Failed**.

The [Fatal filter](<https://vercel.com/docs/runtime-logs>) sits alongside the existing Warning and Error levels in the Logs tab.
