By Steven Van · 2025-01-31

On-demand concurrency is the default for new Enterprise projects, billed by the 10-minute build slot, and existing projects can opt in.

New projects in [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) Enterprise teams now use on-demand concurrent builds by default, which removes build queue bottlenecks. The feature scales build capacity automatically and dynamically, and the [change took effect on 31 January 2025](<https://vercel.com/changelog/enterprise-teams-can-now-ship-faster-without-build-queues>).

Existing projects can switch it on at any time, either with urgent on-demand concurrent builds or at the project level.

Billing is based on the number of 10-minute build slots needed to let builds proceed, as set out in Vercel's usage and limits documentation.
