# Domains must now be managed at the team level

By Steven Van · 2025-12-04

Account-level domain management is discontinued; existing domains keep working but changes now require moving them to a team.

Vercel no longer supports managing domains at the account level; all domain management now happens at the team level, which the company says simplifies access control, collaboration and billing. Domains currently linked to an individual account will keep resolving, serving traffic and renewing as before, but any change requires moving the domain to a team first. Viewing an account-level domain now prompts for a destination team, and transferring it moves the domain along with all project domains, DNS records and aliases, which continue to work after the move.
