# Deployment step now 10% faster

By Steven Van · 2026-09-08

Combining per-function routing metadata into one upload saves about a second per deploy, or up to 12 seconds on large apps.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) now bundles the routing metadata for all function paths into a single manifest instead of uploading a separate file for each one, cutting the deployment step by about 10%. That saves roughly one second on average, and up to 12 seconds for large applications. The change applies automatically to all builds, with no configuration required.
