# Deploy xmcp servers with zero-configuration

By Steven Van · 2025-08-22

Vercel adds zero-config deployment for xmcp, a TypeScript framework that uses file-based routing to define MCP server tools.

Vercel now supports [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s zero-configuration deployment for xmcp, a TypeScript framework for building MCP servers. xmcp uses file-based routing: creating a file under src/tools/ and exporting a schema, metadata, and default function registers it as a tool on the MCP server, without extra deployment configuration.

Full details on deploying xmcp to Vercel are in the [announcement](<https://vercel.com/changelog/deploy-xmcp-servers-with-zero-configuration>) and documentation.
