# Consolidated Build and Deployment settings

By Steven Van · 2025-02-21

Build options in Vercel's Project Settings now sit in one Builds and Deployment section, with framework settings still detected automatically.

Vercel has [brought](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) all build customisation options in the Project Settings page together under a single Builds and Deployment section, according to the [project settings documentation](<https://vercel.com/docs/projects/project-configuration/project-settings>).

Vercel's framework-defined infrastructure still detects settings automatically for many frontend frameworks. The build options remain available for anyone who wants to override those defaults.

That section covers framework settings, the code directory, the Node.js version, prioritised production builds, on-demand concurrent builds and the Ignored Build Step. The Ignored Build Step lets a command decide whether a commit triggers a new build.
