# ChatGPT apps support on Vercel

By Steven Van · 2025-10-09

Vercel now supports building and deploying ChatGPT apps with Next.js, running natively in the OpenAI sandbox via MCP.

ChatGPT apps can now be built and deployed on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>), with support for modern web frameworks. The apps let developers integrate custom UI components and functionality inside ChatGPT, using the Model Context Protocol to run natively in the OpenAI sandbox rather than in a nested iframe.

Next.js can power these apps, using server-side rendering and React Server Components. Developers get Vercel platform features like preview deployments, instant rollback, and the standard dev-to-production pipeline, and can get started with a Next.js template alongside the Apps SDK and mcp-handler.
