# Chat SDK now supports scheduled Slack messages

By Steven Van · 2026-03-24

Chat SDK's Slack adapter adds thread.schedule() to queue a message for a future postAt time, with a cancel() to pull it back.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s Chat SDK can now schedule Slack messages for future delivery. Calling thread.schedule() with a message and a postAt date queues it to send at that time, and the returned object exposes a cancel() method to pull it back before it goes out. Details are in the [Slack adapter documentation](<https://chat-sdk.dev/adapters/official/slack>).
