# Chat SDK now supports rich text in Telegram

By Steven Van · 2026-06-15

Chat SDK's Telegram adapter now turns markdown messages into native headings, tables, lists, and live-streamed drafts.

The [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)-maintained Chat SDK now renders explicit markdown and ast messages as native rich messages on its Telegram adapter, instead of flattening them to plain text. A bot can now post a markdown table, for example, and have it appear as a proper table in Telegram.

- Native formatting for headings, lists, tables, task lists, formulas, and separate media blocks.

- Streaming support: private chats show live draft previews while a response is generated, then persist the final message.

- Automatic fallback: plain strings, raw messages, cards, and captions keep working as before.

Details are in the [Telegram adapter documentation](<https://chat-sdk.dev/adapters/official/telegram>).
