# Auto-add Git committers to your team

Pro teams can set new Git committers to join automatically or wait for owner approval before their deployments proceed.

Pro teams on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) can now choose how Git committers to private repositories join the team. With **Auto Approval**, a non-team committer who has a Vercel account is added to the team automatically and their deployment proceeds right away, counting toward the team's seats at standard Pro pricing. With **Manual Approval**, a new committer's deployment is blocked until a team owner approves them. The [preference is set](<https://vercel.com/changelog/auto-add-git-committers-to-your-team>) in team settings.
