# AI Gateway is now in Beta

Vercel's AI Gateway reaches Beta with usage-based billing, BYOK support, provider failover, and per-model observability.

- Bring-Your-Own-Key support

- Improved observability, including per-model usage, latency, and error metrics

- Simplified authentication

- Fallback and provider routing for more reliable inference

- Higher throughput and rate limits

AI Gateway is free to try, with documentation available for teams setting it up.
