# Agents can now access protected deployments via Vercel’s MCP server

By Steven Van · 2025-08-19

Two new MCP tools let agents fetch and browse Vercel Authentication-protected deployments without login credentials.

Vercel's MCP server can now reach deployments protected by Vercel Authentication. Two new tools handle this: get\_access\_to\_vercel\_url generates a temporary shareable URL that lets agent tools like web fetch or Playwright open a protected deployment without login credentials, and web\_fetch\_vercel\_url lets an agent fetch content directly from a protected deployment even when a normal fetch would return a 401 or 403.

The tools are part of [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s MCP server, available in beta on all plans at mcp.vercel.com.
