# 45% faster build initialization

Vercel's Hive infrastructure update cuts about 15 seconds off build times for Pro and Enterprise teams.

Builds on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) now initialize 45% faster on average, cutting around 15 seconds off build times for Pro and Enterprise teams. Build initialization covers steps like restoring the build cache and fetching code before the Build Command runs, and the gains come from continued improvements to Hive, Vercel's build infrastructure. The same update cut I/O wait times for file writes inside the build container by 75%, which speeds up the rest of the build too.
