# VEED's open source video editor OpenEdit comes to Windows

By Steven Van · 2026-08-29

OpenEdit builds motion graphics from a single prompt, and VEED used it to make the announcement video itself.

[VEED](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/veed>)'s open source agentic video editor, OpenEdit, now runs on Windows. It builds complex motion graphics from a single prompt, and VEED made the [announcement](<https://x.com/i/status/2093662461962650108>) video itself inside OpenEdit. The project is available from the veedstudio/open-edit repository on GitHub.
