# Unity Spark announced with Google Playground partnership

By Steven Van · 2026-10-07

Unity introduced Spark for prompt-based game creation, collaborative iteration and refinement in a web editor using artist-created assets. Closed beta is coming soon. A Google partnership includes future publishing to Playground; the integration is not generally available Spark access.

Unity introduced Spark on October 7: a game-creation product designed around prompts, collaboration and a new web-based editor. Unity says creators will work with artist-created Unity Asset Store assets, then refine their games without coding.

The closed beta is coming soon. The official page offers a waitlist and sample games to play; it does not establish general access to the game creator.

In a follow-up announcement, Unity described a strategic Google partnership that includes bringing Spark to Google Playground. Publishing Spark games there is a future capability, rather than an integration creators can already use.
