Julie Zhuo says Meta has acquired Sundial, the AI analytics company she co-founded, and that she and Chandra Narayanan are joining with part of the team.

[Sundial](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/sundial>), the AI data analytics company co-founded by Julie Zhuo and Chandra Narayanan, has been acquired by [Meta](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/meta-ai>). Zhuo announced it on October 23, 2026. She and Narayanan are joining Meta along with some other members of the team.

Sundial's site describes an agentic analyst that cleans data, builds a semantic layer, and answers in tools such as Slack. Customers named on the homepage include OpenAI, Character, and Gamma. Zhuo wrote that the company started nearly six years ago and was rebuilt to be AI-native.

Axios reported that a Meta spokesperson confirmed the acquisition. Citing Alex Schultz's LinkedIn post, Axios says Sundial will be folded into Meta's data analytics organization, Narayanan will lead data analytics tooling and agents, and Sundial will stop serving external customers when the deal closes. Neither Zhuo's post nor the Axios report gives a price or a closing date.
