# StreamYard fades comments once they've been read on stream

By Steven Van · 2026-05-08

A new "shown" indicator marks comments as covered so hosts don't reread them.

StreamYard now fades a comment on screen after it's already been shown, with a "shown" indicator marking it as covered. It's meant to make it easier to see at a glance which comments have already been read out without having to reread them.
