# Release: Slack CLI v4.8.0

By Steven Van · 2026-09-15

Slack CLI 4.8.0 adds a manifest sync command, a --manifest-source flag, and code\_channels manifest support.

Version 4.8.0 of the Slack CLI adds a slack manifest sync command to sync the app manifest between the project and app settings, plus a --manifest-source flag on the run and deploy commands. The CLI now falls back to manifest.json when the get-manifest hook is unavailable, and it supports the code\_channels app manifest feature.

The release also fixes an issue where interactive selection prompts left lingering rendered lines on screen after a selection was made.
