# Shotbase adds comments and annotations to shared captures

By Steven Van · 2026-10-20

Shotbase share links now carry comment threads, timestamped video feedback and on-frame drawings, and guests can reply without making an account.

Capture app [Shotbase](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/shotbase>) now lets you share comments, add annotations and more on its shareable links. It’s meant to end the back-and-forth that starts with a client asking you to “move the boxes” in a screen recording without saying where.

Shotbase’s changelog says comments now sit right beside shared screenshots and videos. You can start a thread, reply and react with emoji, and guests can join the conversation without creating an account. On videos, you can pin feedback to a timestamp or a time range and jump between comments using timeline markers.

You can also attach images to a comment, or draw on a screenshot or video frame with arrows, shapes, highlights and numbered markers. The same update shortens share links (old links keep working), improves mobile review and makes links inside comments clickable.

Shotbase doesn’t say which plans include comments.
