# Sidekick suggestions now work with supported apps

By Steven Van · 2026-10-28

Only installed apps with supported Sidekick extensions, the right permissions and usable shared data feed into Shopify's Admin suggestions.

Sidekick can now draw on data from installed apps when it makes suggestions, giving it fuller store context. This only works with apps that have supported Sidekick app extensions, and only those apps can share data with Sidekick.

## What suggestions depend on

According to the [Shopify changelog](<https://changelog.shopify.com/posts/get-sidekick-recommendations-using-supported-app-data>), three conditions apply to [Shopify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/shopify>) Sidekick suggestions that use app data:

- The app is installed on the store.

- The right permissions are available.

- The app shares usable data with Sidekick.

The change is listed as an improvement to the Admin. Shopify points to the Help Center page on Sidekick suggestions (Pulse) for more detail.
