# Improved search for Shopify’s admin

The faster search in the redesigned desktop admin covers pages, resources, settings and installed apps, and opens with command+k or control+k.

Search in [Shopify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/shopify>)'s redesigned desktop admin is now significantly faster, according to the [Shopify changelog](<https://changelog.shopify.com/posts/search-shopify-s-admin-and-ask-sidekick-from-one-flow>). It covers admin pages, resources, settings and installed apps in one flow.

## Keyboard access

Search can be opened directly from the keyboard with **command+k** on Mac or **control+k** on Windows.

## Availability

The updated search applies to the redesigned desktop admin. It appears when you open the Shopify admin, once it is available for your store. Shopify points to its Help Center for more detail.
