# Generate images with transparent backgrounds in Sidekick

By Steven Van · 2026-10-24

Sidekick can now generate images with transparent backgrounds.

Shopify · October 24, 2026

Sidekick can now generate images with transparent backgrounds. Create illustrations, icons, and other graphics for your store and marketing without a solid background around the image. To try it, open Sidekick in your Shopify admin and describe the image you want. Ask for a transparent background in your prompt. For example: “Create a hand-drawn leaf illustration with a transparent background.”
