# Collect WhatsApp marketing consent at checkout

Merchants can now capture WhatsApp opt-ins directly at checkout by enabling the option in Shopify's Checkout settings.

Shopify checkout can now collect marketing consent for WhatsApp. Merchants can capture opt-ins when a customer completes a purchase, adding them to a WhatsApp subscriber list for future marketing.
