# Buy shipping labels automatically with Shopify Flow

By Steven Van · 2026-10-15

Flow's new action buys labels for orders that match set conditions, with the carrier, package, weight and ship date chosen by the merchant.

Shopify Flow can now buy shipping labels on its own. A new Flow action purchases a label for each order that meets conditions the merchant sets, as [Shopify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/shopify>) [announced in its changelog](<https://changelog.shopify.com/posts/buy-shipping-labels-automatically-with-shopify-flow>).

## What the action controls

The merchant picks the carrier and service, package type, weight, and ship date. Orders can qualify in several ways:

- Orders with a specific tag

- Orders that contain certain products

- Single-item orders

- Any combination of order attributes

## How it works

Flow buys a label as each matching order comes in. The label is ready to print from the Shipping labels page. Orders that don't match the conditions are left alone.

To set it up, open a ready-made workflow template in Flow, adjust the settings for your store, and turn it on. Shopify's Help Center has more on shipping label automations.
