# Updated: Text Type

The React Bits typewriter component adds bar, block and underscore cursors, fade, blur and rise entrances, self-correcting typos and a fixed lead-in.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Text Type component, a typewriter effect with a blinking cursor and adjustable typing cadence, has [been updated](<https://reactbits.dev/text-animations/text-type>) with new cursor, entrance and typing options.

## What the update adds

- **Cursor styles:** a bar, block or underscore cursor that glides and blinks softly.

- **Letter entrances:** letters can fade, blur or rise in as they type.

- **Typos:** occasional typos that the component then corrects.

- **Fixed lead-in:** a fixed phrase that stays in place before the rotating words.

## Installing it

The component can be added in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. For the TypeScript and Tailwind version, the install command is npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/TextType-TS-TW.
