# Updated: Sticker Peel

By Steven Van · 2026-10-12

The rebuilt React Bits component lifts the edge nearest the cursor, lets stickers be thrown, and offers gloss, matte and holographic finishes.

Sticker Peel has been rebuilt in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>), with a new curl effect, soft shadows and no extra dependencies. The [updated component](<https://reactbits.dev/animations/sticker-peel>) is a die-cut sticker that can be peeled at any edge, dragged, thrown and swung.

## Peel and throw behaviour

The edge nearest the cursor lifts, so the peel starts wherever the pointer approaches. Thrown stickers swing, slide and bounce.

## Finishes

The sticker comes in three finishes: gloss, matte and holographic.

## Installation

The component can be added with the shadcn CLI. The page offers JavaScript or TypeScript, and plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/StickerPeel-TS-TW.
