# Updated: Scanner

Scanner, the glowing-lines background, adds cursor-reactive lines, click pings, a power-on intro and a light mode.

The Scanner background in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) has been [updated](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/scanner>) with sharper visuals and more ways to interact with it.

## Visual changes

The glowing lines are crisper, and the scan head now leaves an afterglow trail behind it. A power-on intro and a light mode have also been added.

## Interaction

The lines part around the cursor, and clicking sends out a ping.

## Installing

The component page offers JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/Scanner-TS-TW.
