# Updated: Magic Bento

The open-source React component adds animated card artwork, a click wave, custom content and photos, and both dark and light themes.

[React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) has [updated its Magic Bento component](<https://reactbits.dev/components/magic-bento>), a bento grid of feature cards with live artwork, edge light that follows the cursor and a click wave.

## What changed

- Every card now carries animated artwork.

- The cursor light is smoother.

- A click sends a wave across the grid.

## Custom content and themes

Cards now accept your own content, photos and links. The component comes in dark and light themes.

## Installation

The component page offers JavaScript or TypeScript and plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with **npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/MagicBento-TS-TW**.
