# Updated: Liquid Chrome

The React Bits background gets cursor-following reflections, click ripples, presets, a light mode and a faster renderer.

Liquid Chrome, the animated background in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>), has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/liquid-chrome>) as soft, glossy liquid chrome. Its reflections follow the cursor.

## What changed

- The background now shows soft ribbons of liquid chrome that swirl through a dark pool and catch the light as it moves.

- The cursor leaves a liquid wake, and a click produces ripples.

- New presets, a light mode and a faster renderer are included.

## Installing it

The component is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/LiquidChrome-TS-TW. The page's interactive preview, customization controls and source tabs need JavaScript enabled.
