# Updated: Light Pillar

Light Pillar runs about four times faster with the same look, and adds cursor tracking, click surges, a soft glow, presets and more controls.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Light Pillar background has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/light-pillar>) to run about four times faster, with the same look as before.

## New behaviour

- The pillar ignites on load.

- It follows the cursor.

- It surges on click.

- It has a soft glow.

## Controls

The component also gains presets and more controls. The component page offers JavaScript or TypeScript and plain CSS or Tailwind, and installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/LightPillar-TS-TW for the TypeScript and Tailwind version.
