# Updated: Ghost Fibers

By Steven Van · 2026-10-14

Ghost Fibers is now built from layered glowing fibers with soft depth of field, bright folds and new looks, and installs via shadcn in JS or TS.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Ghost Fibers background has been rebuilt, according to the [component's page](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/ghost-fibers>). It now renders layered ribbons of fine glowing fibers that twist, fold and drift through soft depth of field.

## What the new version does

The vendor's summary lists bright folds and new looks to pick from. The page does not say what those looks are or how they are selected.

## Installing it

The component is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with:

npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/GhostFibers-TS-TW

The page's interactive preview, customization controls and source tabs need JavaScript enabled.
