# Updated: Galaxy

The rebuilt Galaxy background drops its extra dependencies and adds cursor repulsion, click-to-warp, new star colors and a cleaner light mode.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Galaxy background has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/galaxy>) and no longer needs any extra dependencies.

## Interaction changes

- Stars glide away from the cursor.

- A click jumps to warp speed.

- The background arrives from hyperspace when it loads.

## Visual changes

The update adds new star colors, flares and depth, along with a cleaner light mode.

## Installing

Galaxy is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/Galaxy-TS-TW.
