# Updated: Floating Lines

The React Bits background drops its extra dependencies and gains dotted and dashed line styles, cursor and click effects, and an ink light mode.

Floating Lines, the animated background in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>), has been redrawn with [crisp, finely glowing lines](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/floating-lines>) and no extra dependencies.

## Cursor and click behaviour

The lines drift in waves, part smoothly around the cursor and curl when clicked.

## Styles and light mode

The lines now come in dotted and dashed styles. A clean ink light mode is also included.

## Installing it

The component can be added with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/FloatingLines-TS-TW. It is offered in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind.
