# Updated: Ferrofluid

The rebuilt React Bits background drops its extra dependencies and adds cursor and click effects, with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS and Tailwind variants.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Ferrofluid background [has been rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/ferrofluid>) as a glossy ferrofluid sea, and it no longer needs any extra dependencies.

## What the new version does

- Swells of spikes roll across the surface of the fluid.

- The cursor raises a crown in the fluid as it moves.

- Clicks send out a ring of spikes.

## Installing it

The component page offers JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/Ferrofluid-TS-TW.
