# Updated: Falling Text

By Steven Van · 2026-10-11

The rebuilt text animation lets words or single letters be dragged, thrown and swept, and adds a tiles style and a light mode.

Falling Text, the text animation in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>), has been [rebuilt with smoother physics](<https://reactbits.dev/text-animations/falling-text>).

## How it behaves

Words or single letters knock each other loose as they fall and tumble into a pile. The pile can be dragged, thrown and swept around, and the text then flies back into place.

## New in this version

- A tiles style

- A light mode

## Installation

The component is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/FallingText-TS-TW.
