# Updated: Elastic Slider

The rebuilt React Bits slider adds vertical and pill styles, ticks, a handle, centered fills, and keyboard and scroll control.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Elastic Slider component has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/components/elastic-slider>) with smoother springs and a rubber-band pull at both ends. The slider grows under the cursor, stretches like rubber when pulled past either end, then springs back.

## What was added

- Vertical and pill styles

- Icons and values inside the track

- Ticks and a handle

- Centered fills

- Keyboard and scroll control

## Installing it

The component is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/ElasticSlider-TS-TW.
