# Updated: Counter

The odometer-style number component now has springy digits and motion blur, and handles currency, percentages, separators and locales.

The [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>) Counter component has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/components/counter>) as an odometer-style number whose digits roll to each new value.

## What the rebuild adds

- Springy rolling digits

- Motion blur on the rolling digits

- A spin-in intro

## Formatting

Counter formats currency, percentages, separators and locales. Digits slide in and out as the number grows or shrinks.

## Installing

The component is available in JavaScript or TypeScript, with plain CSS or Tailwind. The TypeScript and Tailwind version installs with npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/Counter-TS-TW.
