# Updated: Balatro

The Balatro background drops its extra dependencies and gains cursor stirring, click whirlpools and an intro animation, with JS and TS variants.

Balatro, the swirling paint background in [React Bits](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/react-bits>), has been [rebuilt](<https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/balatro>) on the same swirl. It now renders with crisp pixels and needs no extra dependencies.

## New interactions

- The cursor stirs the paint as it moves.

- Clicks spin up whirlpools.

- An intro spins the background into place.

## Installation

The component is installed through the shadcn CLI. The TypeScript and Tailwind variant uses npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/Balatro-TS-TW. The component page offers JavaScript or TypeScript, and plain CSS or Tailwind.
