# Remote MCP Server

The Perplexity MCP Server is now available as a remote server hosted by Perplexity at https://api.perplexity.ai/mcp.

[Perplexity](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/perplexity>) now hosts its MCP Server remotely at api.perplexity.ai/mcp, so developers can connect any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP using their API key as a bearer token, with nothing to install or update locally. Tools and behaviour are identical to the local server, and usage is billed to the API key at [standard API pricing](<https://docs.perplexity.ai/changelog#july-2026>).
