# Scale Tool Arrives in pen.dev

By Steven Van · 2026-09-26

pen.dev's new Scale tool (K) resizes objects proportionally, with factors like 0.5x, 2x, or 3x enterable directly.

[Pencil](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/pencil-dev>) has added a Scale tool to pen.dev, bound to the **K** key, for resizing selected objects proportionally without breaking their layout. Instead of dragging a handle, you can type a factor like 0.5x, 1x, 2x, or 3x to resize precisely.
