# pen.dev lets an agent resolve collaborative comments

By Steven Van · 2026-10-28

Clients and coworkers can leave comments on a pen.dev file, and an agent can resolve them. Plans and platforms are unstated.

[Pencil](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/pencil-dev>), which ships as pen.dev, introduced Collaborative Comments with Agents on October 28. Clients or coworkers comment on your work, and an agent resolves the notes.

Official pen.dev announcement demo.

The announcement quotes a user who noticed it during an internal presentation and calls the result a magical AI moment. It does not say which plans include comments, which of the desktop, IDE, or CLI apps they work in, or whether a comment is pinned to an object on the canvas. No setup page was linked. Pencil’s existing product page does not yet describe this comments feature.
