# Paper Snapshot Now Captures Canvas Contents

By Steven Van · 2026-09-14

Paper Snapshot now captures Three.js, WebGL, 2D canvas and video content as editable layers instead of flat screenshots.

[Paper Snapshot](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/paper-snapshot>) can now pull in animated content, including Three.js, WebGL, 2D canvas and video, and paste it into Paper as editable layers rather than a flat screenshot. The [update](<https://x.com/i/status/2099493817829175472>) extends the extension's element-copying beyond static pages to sites built with canvas-based rendering.
