Quick Capture lets iOS 26 users save notes from the Lock Screen, widgets, Control Center, or Shortcuts without waiting for a vault to load.

iOS 26 users can now capture notes in [Obsidian](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/apps/obsidian>) without waiting for their vault to load. The [1.14 Mobile public release](<https://obsidian.md/changelog/2026-10-05-mobile-v1.14.4/>) also includes all new features and bug fixes up to Desktop v1.14.4.

## Quick Capture on iOS

Quick Capture works from the Lock Screen, Control Center, Home Screen widgets, or Shortcuts. Customizable Locations send captures to a new note, today’s daily note, a bookmarked note, or any chosen note, with optional templates. On iOS 27, Quick Capture and View Note also support the new extra large widgets.

## Mobile interface and Android changes

Text and interface elements now follow the system’s preferred text size, including larger accessibility sizes. Swipe gestures and page animations are flipped for right-to-left languages. Settings open in a sheet over the app that can be dismissed by swiping anywhere.

- On iOS, the Share Sheet now uses the vault accent color.

- On Android, the Open Note widget displays the note’s name.

- Android’s “Insert attachment” mobile toolbar button now allows taking a photo directly.

## Bases controls and fixes

Bases has a revised toolbar, with the new Group menu inside the Display menu. Opening view configuration no longer automatically focuses the view name, while “Add view” now focuses the name input. Fixes restore CSV export and preserve a table’s horizontal scroll position when the pull-down action is triggered.

Other fixes address Sync setup loading indefinitely after a login expires, disappearing syllables when typing Korean on iOS, invalid filenames from Instagram shares, and window sizing on iPad. The Configure toolbar button now opens mobile toolbar settings directly.
