# Obsidian 1.14.1 Desktop (Early access)

Obsidian's early access 1.14.1 desktop update moves math rendering to MathJax 4.1.3 and adds right-to-left support to Bases tables.

[Obsidian](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/apps/obsidian>)'s [1.14.1 desktop update](<https://obsidian.md/changelog/2026-09-08-desktop-v1.14.1/>), out now in early access, switches math rendering to MathJax 4.1.3, replacing both MathJax 3 and Temml, and adds right-to-left support to Bases table views.

- Bases table views now support right-to-left languages, including keyboard navigation, selections, and horizontal scrolling.

- The default file to open setting works again.

- Opening a recent vault from the OS menu works again.

- In Vim mode, deleting and pasting a numbered list item no longer inserts blank lines and empty numbered items.

- Input hover styles in the quick switcher and command palette are fixed.

- The loading animation displays correctly in right-to-left languages.
