# Notion Mail's inbox shuts down September 22

By Steven Van · 2026-06-25

Notion is replacing the web, desktop and iOS inbox with agent-based email handling, the interface most users already skip.

Notion is shutting down the Notion Mail inbox on web, desktop and iOS on **September 22**, moving instead to agents that handle email without a traditional inbox view. Notion says more than half of Notion Mail users already manage their email that way, without opening the inbox at all.

No word yet on what replaces the inbox interface for the remaining users, or what happens to existing Notion Mail setups after the shutdown date. Details are in the [original announcement](<https://x.com/i/status/2070177264457715817>).
