# Notion Adds Default Agent Instructions for Your Entire Workspace

By Steven Van · 2026-09-15

Notion now lets you set workspace-wide default instructions that every agent follows, acting as house rules for your agents.

[Notion](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/notion>) now lets workspace admins set default agent instructions that apply across the entire workspace, described by the company as house rules for your agents.

Rather than adding the same guidance to every individual agent, teams can define one set of workspace-wide defaults that agents pick up automatically. This builds on the custom agent instructions and skills Notion introduced earlier this year.

- Default agent instructions are configured once at the workspace level.

- The defaults apply to agents across the whole workspace.

- Notion positions the feature as house rules that keep agent behavior consistent.

- The update was announced on September 15, 2026 with a short demo video.
